Milford Police Charge Man With Child Sex-Related Crimes

On Tuesday, Milford detectives arrested 20-year-old Markez Davis following an investigation into allegations involving sexual misconduct with two minor victims.

Officials said Davis faces multiple charges, including two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child, three counts of Unlawfully Dealing in Material Depicting a Child Engaging in Sexual Acts, four counts of Rape in the Fourth Degree, and six counts of Rape in the Third Degree. Additionally, he was charged with two counts of Terroristic Threatening, as well as individual charges of Sexual Solicitation of a Child, Sexual Extortion, Strangulation, Providing Obscene Material to a Minor, and Assault in the Third Degree.

After his arraignment in the Justice of the Peace Court 2, Davis was committed to the Department of Correction, with $338,000 secured bail. A no-contact order was issued to protect the victims, and Davis is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas at a later date.
