Police: Road Rage Incident Leads To Man Shot In Chest

The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a road rage incident that resulted in a shooting in Middletown on October 6, 2024.

At approximately 6:12 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a shooting involving two men in the 100 block of Knights Bridge Road. The preliminary investigation indicates that the incident involved a 41-year-old male from New Castle and a 50-year-old Middletown man.

The interaction between the two individuals escalated, resulting in the 41-year-old man being shot in the chest police said. He was transported to a local hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No other individuals were harmed during the incident.
