Rider Airlifted After Motorcycle Crash In New Castle

Just after 11:30 Monday morning, emergency crews, including New Castle County Paramedics and the Holloway Terrace Fire Company, responded to a motor vehicle collision in the 4000 block of New Castle Avenue.

Upon arrival, responders found that a motorcycle had been involved in a collision with another vehicle, and the motorcycle had caught fire as a result.

Crews provided treatment to a 21-year-old male, who sustained possible internal injuries. He was transported to Christiana Hospital in Stanton, in critical condition by Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4. Additionally, another patient, whose age and gender are currently unknown, was transported to the same hospital in stable condition by a basic life support ambulance from Minquas Fire Company.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Delaware State Police. Agencies that responded to the scene include New Castle County EMS (Paramedics), Holloway Terrace Fire Company, Good Will Fire Company, Minquadale Fire Company, Minquas Fire Company, and Wilmington Manor Fire Company.
