Two Shooting In Less Than An Hour Leave One Dead, One Hospitalized

Wilmington Police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that occurred Thursday evening, leaving one man dead and another injured.

The first shooting was reported at approximately 6:43 p.m. in the area of West 7th and North Monroe Streets. Officers arrived on the scene to find a 19-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is currently in stable condition. Authorities have not yet released any further details about potential suspects in the case.

Just under an hour later, at approximately 7:22 p.m., officers responded to another shooting, this time in the 100 block of West 30th Street. A 29-year-old male was located with gunshot wounds and was immediately transported to the hospital in critical condition. Despite efforts by medical personnel, the victim later succumbed to his injuries.
