Detectives with the Special Victims Unit have arrested a 22-year-old man for lewd conduct in the community of Murray Manor.
Officials said on October 25, 2024, officers with the New Castle County Division of Police responded to a report of a man engaging in indecent activity behind a residence in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue in Murray Manor.
When officers arrived, the man had already left the area. Later that day, a resident reported the same man’s return and officers and detectives were able to locate him, identifying him as Christian Hernandez of Wilmington.
The Special Victims Unit continued the investigation, and an arrest warrant for one count of lewdness was issued for Christian. On November 1, 2024, members of the Special Investigation Squad located and apprehended him. Christian was taken to New Castle County Police Headquarters, where he was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $500 unsecured bail.
