Dover Home Damaged By Fire Early Tuesday Morning

Early Tuesday morning, fire crews responded to a residential structure fire in the 100 block of Rollin Court in Dover. The incident was reported at approximately 4:53 a.m., with first-arriving units confirming visible fire showing from the roof of the home.

Firefighters immediately initiated an an attack on the fire while simultaneously conducting primary and secondary searches of the residence. Both searches confirmed that no occupants were inside at the time of the fire.

At 5:15 a.m., the incident commander declared the fire under control. Crews remained on scene for approximately 90 minutes, addressing hot spots and performing overhaul operations to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.

As of this report, no injuries have been reported. The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the fire. Further details will be released as the investigation continues.
