Major Crash South Of Dover, Two Helos En Route

Emergency crews in Dover responded to a serious crash at South State Street and Sorghum Mill Road just before 1:00 PM Tuesday.

Initial reports indicated two individuals are trapped following the collision. Command has requested additional resources, including Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 2 and Trooper 4, to assist with the incident.

Command has declared a level one MCI, which will bring additional resources. A total of five patients are expected to be transported.

Firefighters and paramedics are currently working to extricate the trapped individuals.

Both trapped patients expected to be flown to Christiana Hospital once freed.
