Officials: Woman In Critical Condition After Being Struck In Wilton

On Friday a pedestrian was critically injured this afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on Wilton Boulevard near Old Forge Road. Emergency responders from the Christiana Fire Company and New Castle County Paramedics were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:15 p.m. following reports of the incident.

Upon arrival, responders discovered a female patient, approximately 65 years old, who had sustained severe extremity injuries and possible internal injuries as a result of the collision. She was transported to Christiana Hospital in Stanton by Christiana Fire Company personnel with paramedics from New Castle County providing advanced life support care en route. She was listed in critical condition at the time of transport.

Agencies involved in the response included New Castle County Paramedics and the Christiana Fire Company.
