Woman Found Dead In Chesapeake City Wednesday, Possibly Shot

Early Wednesday morning, FSU received reports of police activity in Chesapeake City, Maryland, however, authorities did not release details regarding the incident on Wednesday.

What we’ve been able to piece together is when authorities responded to an incident in the 800 block of Bethel Road shortly after 6:00 a.m. they found a woman gravely injured.I

The response followed reports of a woman lying in the road. It later became evident that the woman had suffered serious injuries, and had possibly been shot.

Emergency personnel, pronounced the woman deceased at approximately 6:40 a.m. Details about the incident, including the circumstances leading to the woman’s death, remain unclear. Authorities have not released an official statement or identified the victim.

Residents in the area reported seeing a significant police presence throughout the morning, heightening concerns in the normally quiet community. Some locals claim they were told the victim might have ties to Delaware, but no official confirmation of her identity has been provided.
