The Camden Wyoming Fire Company along with multiple other mutual aid fire companies responded to the scene and found heavy fire coming from the garage of the occupied residence.

First arriving units learned that a juvenile was unaccounted for and searched the residence. The juvenile was located inside the residence and was transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus by EMS and Kent County Paramedics. The juvenile was later air lifted to Nemours Children’s Hospital in Wilmington in critical condition. An adult occupant was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Two other juvenile occupants were able to escape the residence. One firefighter was treated on scene for injuries.

Working smoke detectors in the residence alerted the occupants to the fire said Schad.
