In Kent County, the town of Felton recorded the highest snowfall with 8.0 inches, followed closely by Harrington with 7.3 inches and Woodside with 7.0 inches. Other notable reports include Houston with 7.0 inches and Frederica with 6.4 inches. Dover, the state capital, saw 5.6 inches of snow, while the Dover Air Force Base reported 5.0 inches.
New Castle County experienced lighter snowfall compared to Kent County. The highest accumulation was recorded in Blackbird with 3.1 inches, followed by Mount Pleasant with 3.0 inches and Port Penn with 2.6 inches. Wilmington Manor and Newark both reported 2.0 inches of snow.
Sussex County saw some of the heaviest snowfall in the state. Bridgeville topped the list with 10.0 inches, while Bethel reported 9.8 inches and Long Neck saw 9.6 inches. Georgetown and Lewes both experienced 9.0 inches of snow, and Seaford reported 8.0 inches.
The winter storm brought a picturesque blanket of snow to Delaware, creating a winter wonderland for residents. However, the significant snowfall also led to travel disruptions and the need for snow removal efforts across the state.
