Fire Damages Home In Middletown Monday

A residential structure fire occurred Monday morning at approximately 10:34 a.m. in the Villagebrook Trailer Park, located in the 300 block of Hostetter Boulevard in Middletown.

First responders arrived on the scene to find smoke coming from the structure. It was confirmed that all occupants had evacuated the structure before firefighters arrived. Fire crews entered the building and encountered heavy fire in the middle of the residence.

Firefighters worked to bring the blaze under control, remaining on the scene for over an hour to ensure the fire was fully extinguished and to conduct overhaul operations.

Delaware State Fire investigators are currently on-site to determine the cause and origin of the fire. No injuries have been reported at this time.
