Early Friday morning, emergency crews responded to a high-speed motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Marsh Road and Afton Drive in Wilmington. The incident was reported at approximately 12:06 a.m., with initial reports indicating a vehicle had collided with a utility pole, leaving live wires down on the vehicle.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered that the occupants of the vehicle involved had fled the scene. Additional reports from the scene suggested that a second unoccupied vehicle might also have been involved and was located nearby. The exact circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear.
Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4 was dispatched to assist in the search for potential victims or individuals involved. However, it remains unclear if anyone was located during the search.
