Unreported Shooting In Middletown Sends One To Hospital Monday

Early Monday morning, a man in his 20s was critically injured in a shooting on the 300 block of Marldale Road in Middletown. The incident occurred around 1:25 a.m., with emergency responders rushing the victim to Christiana Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

The jurisdiction of the incident appears to fall under the Middletown Police Department. However, initial reports indicate that officers from the New Castle County Police Department responded to the call. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and neither police agency has released details regarding the incident.
