Woman Trapped In Rollover Crash In Newark

Late Tuesday night, emergency crews responded to a rollover crash with entrapment on Fox Den Road near Paper Mill Road in Newark. The incident occurred at approximately 10:41 p.m., bringing multiple agencies to the scene. Initial reports indicated that a woman in her 30s was trapped inside the overturned vehicle. New Castle County Paramedics, with Medic 9 first on scene, confirmed entrapment.

Firefighters from Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company worked to free the woman from the wreckage. The crash also involved a split utility pole, leading responders to request assistance from Delmarva Power.

Fox Den Road was closed while emergency personnel carried out rescue operations. Firefighters used equipment to gain access to the trapped woman and eventually freed her after several minutes.

After being freed from the vehicle, the woman was transported to Christiana Hospital for treatment. No further details regarding her condition were immediately available. Emergency personnel remained on scene to address remaining hazards, including the damaged utility pole.
