Delaware State Police Homicide Unit detectives are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that took place Thursday morning in Delmar, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. Authorities were called to the scene following reports of a fatal shooting.
At approximately 9:18 a.m. on March 13, 2025, troopers arrived at a residence on the 10000 block of Country Grove Circle. Upon entering, officers discovered a 42-year-old woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Nearby, a 56-year-old man was also found deceased with what authorities determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Emergency personnel pronounced both individuals dead at the scene.
Investigators have not yet released the identities of the deceased as they are working to notify their families.
