Reports: Pedestrian Struck And Killed Late Friday

A pedestrian was struck and killed late Friday night in Wilmington. The incident occurred at approximately 11:34, in the area of Augustine Cut Off and Alapocus Drive. According to initial reports, the pedestrian was found unresponsive in the roadway following reports of a motor vehicle accident.

Tallyville Fire Company, Delaware State Police, and paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after the call was received. Medics evaluated the victim and pronounced the individual deceased at the location. Authorities have not released the identity of the pedestrian or any details about the vehicle involved.

The Delaware Department of Transportation assisted with road closures as investigators examined the scene.

The Delaware State Police is overseeing the investigation.
