Man Carjacked At Gunpoint In Bear

The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the parking lot of Salem Center in Bear on Monday afternoon at around 2:15.

According to information released by police, the victim was engaged in an argument with a suspect in the parking lot located at 1693 Pulaski Highway prior to the robbery. During the course of the dispute, a second individual arrived on the scene and reportedly displayed a handgun officials said.

Following the display of the firearm, both suspects forcibly took the victim’s vehicle. The suspects then left the area in the stolen vehicle, leaving the shopping center before police arrived.

Troopers canvassed the area, collecting witness statements, and reviewing available surveillance footage. Law enforcement has not disclosed the make or model of the stolen vehicle at this time.

Police have not released any descriptions of the suspects or details about the firearm allegedly used in the robbery.
