A 34-year-old man was killed Friday evening in Milford following a collision between a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle on North Church Street.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m. on May 2, 2025, as a white Chevrolet Malibu was traveling northbound and preparing to make a left turn into a residence in the 600 block of North Church Street.

As the vehicle initiated the turn, a black Suzuki GSX1300 motorcycle attempted to pass the Malibu on its left side at a high rate of speed according to police. The motorcycle collided with the driver’s side of the turning Malibu.

Emergency medical services arrived on scene and began life-saving efforts on the motorcycle operator, identified as Robert D. Pierce, 34, of Greenwood. Pierce was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The 62-year-old man driving the Malibu was uninjured in the crash. A 43-year-old female passenger in the vehicle sustained minor injuries and was treated and released from a local hospital.

North Church Street, between North Street Extended and Bright Way, was closed for approximately three and a half hours while authorities conducted their investigation.
