Rider Killed Early Sunday Morning In Millsboro

The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred early this morning in Millsboro that left one man dead.

Officials said on May 25, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a 2006 Toyota Sienna was traveling southbound on Millsboro Highway, just north of East Line Road. At the same time, a 2010 Victory motorcycle was traveling northbound on Millsboro Highway, in the same area. For reasons under investigation, the Toyota failed to maintain its lane as it navigated a curve in the roadway and entered the motorcycle’s path of travel in the northbound lane of Millsboro Highway police said. As a result, the Toyota struck the motorcycle, causing the motorcyclist to be ejected.

The motorcyclist, a 58-year-old man from Millsboro was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld until his family and relatives are notified.

The driver of the Toyota, a 48-year-old man from Salisbury, Maryland, was not injured. Two of the Toyota’s passengers were taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. A third passenger was not injured.

The roadway was closed for approximately 3.5 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.
