The Dover Police Department has arrested 45-year-old Christy Guzman of Dover in connection with a robbery that occurred on Saturday evening, May 31, 2025, in the 800 block of White Oak Road.
At approximately 6:42 p.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery at a bus stop in the area. Upon arrival, police located a 53-year-old female victim who reported being pepper-sprayed by an unknown white female suspect. The suspect then stole the victim’s purse and fled the scene police said. The victim was transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment of her injuries.
The suspect was described as a skinny white female wearing a white t-shirt and dark pants. Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Christy Guzman as the individual responsible for the attack police said. Warrants for her arrest were obtained following the identification.
On Sunday, June 1, patrol officers located Guzman and took her into custody without incident. She was transported to the Dover Police Department where she was processed and arraigned.
Guzman was committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $15,000 cash bail. She has been charged with Robbery First Degree and Assault Second Degree.
