Monday Shooting Leaves One Hospitalized

Wilmington, DE – The Wilmington Police Department is actively investigating a shooting that occurred Monday shortly before noon in the area of East 23rd and Jessup Streets.

At approximately 11:51 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire and located a 42-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

Police have not released information regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation is ongoing, and additional details will be made available when possible police said.
