Fire At Main Event Saturday Morning

CHRISTIANA, Del. — Firefighters responded early Saturday morning to a fire at the Main Event entertainment complex located at 2900 Fashion Center Boulevard.

Just before 6:00 a.m., crews arrived on scene and confirmed black smoke coming from the roof of the building. Firefighters worked to identify the source of the fire and reported that sprinkler systems had activated in the area of the bowling lanes.

Christiana Fire Command reported smoke conditions inside the building. Searches for anyone inside were conducted, with no occupants located during those sweeps.

As firefighters on the roof checked for possible fire extension, command crews worked to control the building’s sprinkler systems to prevent additional damage.

Investigators from the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the scene and are working to determine the origin and cause of the fire. The incident was placed under control at 7:11 a.m.

Individuals with scheduled events at the Main Event complex today are advised to check with the venue regarding possible closures or schedule changes. Further details will be provided as investigators release their findings.
