Woman Airlifted After Crashing Into Tree Near Rehoboth Beach

REHOBOTH BEACH, DE — A woman sustained serious injuries Tuesday morning following a single-vehicle crash in the area of Coatue Boulevard and Old Landing Road in Rehoboth Beach.

Emergency crews responded to the scene just before 9:00, after the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. First responders assessed the driver’s condition and requested air medical transport due to the severity of her injuries.

The woman was airlifted from the scene by Life Net helicopter and flown to Christiana Hospital for treatment.

Authorities have not released the woman’s identity. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
