Wilmington Police confirmed Monday that they are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon. At approximately 3:18 p.m., officers responded to Eden Park, i the 900 block of New Castle Avenue, where they located 36-year-old Lamar Massas suffering from gunshot wounds.
The Massas was transported to the hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Authorities stated that further details will be provided as the investigation progresses.
