Emergency crews were dispatched to the intersection of West 8th and Washington streets in Wilmington just after 6:15 a.m. Friday for reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, first responders located an adult male who was in a wheelchair and had reportedly been struck by a vehicle. The patient was treated at the scene and transported to Wilmington Hospital for evaluation and treatment of his injuries.
