Emergency crews were dispatched to the intersection of West 8th and Washington streets in Wilmington just after 6:15 a.m. Friday for reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, first responders located an adult male who was in a wheelchair and had reportedly been struck by a vehicle. The patient was treated at the scene and transported to Wilmington Hospital for evaluation and treatment of his injuries.
No additional details regarding the vehicle or the extent of the man’s injuries were immediately available.
