Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday morning in Hartly.
According to police, the collision happened on December 10, 2025, at approximately 9:00 a.m., at the intersection of Hartly Road and Judith Road. Investigators said a Honda Accord was traveling eastbound on Judith Road and approached the stop sign at Hartly Road as a Ford Focus was traveling southbound on Hartly Road. Police stated that the Honda entered the intersection and into the path of the Ford, causing the front of the Ford to strike the driver’s side of the Honda.
The driver of the Honda, 77-year-old Jeffrey Holloway, of Dover, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver of the Ford, an 18-year-old woman from Hartly, was treated at the scene and declined transport to a hospital, according to authorities.
Hartly Road was closed for approximately three hours while investigators processed the scene and cleared the roadway.
