Pair Facing Charges After Traffic Stop

Delaware State Police arrested two people Tuesday night after locating a stolen vehicle traveling through Seaford. Troopers conducting patrols on Concord Road at about 8:15 p.m. stopped a 2009 Lincoln MKS that had been reported stolen to the Salisbury Police Department. The occupants, identified as 53-year-old Lisa Savage of Salisbury, Maryland, and 47-year-old Lavarr Holbrook of Seaford, Delaware, were taken into custody without reported resistance.

A search of the vehicle and the two suspects led investigators to identify drug paraphernalia linked to Savage. Troopers also reported finding approximately 1.53 grams of heroin and approximately 0.76 grams of crack cocaine concealed on Holbrook, according to police.

Savage was transported to Troop 5, charged with receiving stolen property valued at more than $1,500, possession of drug paraphernalia not related to marijuana, and driving without a valid license. She was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $3,200 cash bond.

Holbrook was charged with felony manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, along with consuming a controlled or counterfeit substance and possession of drug paraphernalia not related to marijuana. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $4,400 cash bond.
