Wilmington Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday night at approximately 7:52 p.m. in the 600 block of West 6th Street.
Officers responding to the scene located a 40-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have indicated that additional information will be released as it becomes available.
