Police: Felton Residents Facing Drug Charges

Delaware State Police said 47-year-old Eric Cane and 43-year-old Amber Knolls, both of Felton, were arrested on felony drug charges after a Probation and Parole administrative search at a home on Jessica Lane.

According to police, the Kent County Governor’s Task Force was called to assist Probation and Parole at about 10 p.m. on April 6, 2025, at Cane’s residence. Before the search began, detectives allegedly saw Cane involved in a hand-to-hand transaction with an unidentified person outside the home. When officers approached, police said Cane threw a bag of drugs under a vehicle in the driveway, according to police.

Police said Cane and Knolls were taken into custody without incident. A search of the suspects and the property led to the discovery of about 13.54 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Cane was taken to Troop 3 and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 2 quantity, possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 2 quantity, tampering with physical evidence, second-degree conspiracy, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $30,200 unsecured bond, but was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on probation violations.

Knolls was also taken to Troop 3 and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 2 quantity, possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 2 quantity, second-degree conspiracy, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $30,000 cash bond.
