Troopers ID Two In Milford Murder-Suicide

The Delaware State Police have identified the two killed in what they described as a murder-suicide that occurred Sunday.

Police identified the victim as 38-year-old Jessica Bradley of Milford. The suspect, 43-year-old Brooks Bradley, also of Milford, died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound afternoon in the Sugar Maple Farms community near Milford.

According to investigators, troopers were dispatched to the 7000 block of Sugar Maple Drive at approximately 4:15 p.m. on July 5 after a man called 9-1-1, told dispatchers he had killed his wife, and then disconnected the call.

Dispatchers and responding troopers made repeated attempts to contact the man but received no response. Members of the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team subsequently entered the residence, where they found Jessica Bradley suffering from gunshot wounds and Brooks Bradley with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Delaware State Police continue to investigate the incident.
