Man Hospitalized After Being Attacked, Robbed At Bus Stop

Delaware State Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery that left a man injured Tuesday night in New Castle.

Troopers responded to the 3000 block of New Castle Avenue at approximately 9:20 p.m. on September 15, 2026, for a reported robbery. Police said the victim was waiting at a bus stop when a male suspect approached and demanded his personal property.

The suspect struck the victim and forcibly took his property before fleeing the area, according to police. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit is handling the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective D. Patterson at 302-365-8471.
