An 18-year-old arrested on a Dover Police warrant will remain in custody after waiving extradition to Delaware, court records show.

Britt Anthony Williams Jr. was ordered held without bond Thursday, October 22, following a bail review before Judge Michael Farlow in Worcester County District Court in Snow Hill, Maryland.

Williams was arrested at approximately 8:47 a.m. October 21 in Snow Hill, Maryland, according to booking information. His court record lists an address in the 200 block of Greenbrier Drive, but the records obtained do not identify the specific location of his arrest.

Lt. Christopher Larmore of the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to First State Update that Williams was arrested pursuant to an extraditable felony warrant originating with the Dover Police Department. Booking information lists a felony warrant or summons from another agency and a fugitive-from-justice charge. Larmore referred questions about the underlying offense to Dover Police.

Worcester County officials confirmed Williams is incarcerated at the county jail and provided his booking photograph to First State Update.

First State Update also found sheriff’s activity-log entries in the 200 block of Greenbrier Drive on the afternoon of October 21. However, Lt. Larmore did not confirm that the that those were related to Williams’ arrest.

Dover Police have cited House Bill 59, which took effect October 21, in withholding suspects’ names and mugshots. According to the department’s notice, disclosure requires a felony allegation and a determination that releasing the information is necessary to protect public safety.

The legislation was sponsored by Rep. Lynn, with Sen. Hoffner as an additional sponsor. Reps. Lambert, Morrison, Phillips, Snyder-Hall, Romer, Gorman and Harris were co-sponsors.
