Police said officers in marked patrol vehicles attempted to contact Goldsboro, but he ran from the area. Officers pursued him and apprehended him a short time later on Bryon Court. Investigators determined that the handgun had been reported stolen in 2024. Police also recovered approximately 15 grams of powder cocaine, 5.6 grams of crystal methamphetamine, three MDMA pills, 47 grams of marijuana and 20 OxyContin pills.

Goldsboro was transported to New Castle County Police Headquarters, where he was charged with multiple felony offenses, including possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, receiving a stolen firearm and several drug possession and possession-with-intent-to-deliver offenses.

He was also charged with misdemeanor drug offenses, resisting arrest and a pedestrian violation for walking in the roadway when a sidewalk was available.
