New Castle – The Brandywine Valley SPCA (BVSPCA) welcomed approximately 150 small dogs, along with a complement of puppies and kittens, that arrived on a Wings of Rescue flight on Friday, according to BVSPCA.
Wings of Rescue flew approximately 150 small dogs along with a complement of puppies and kittens, from overcrowded shelters in California and Arizona to the Brandywine Valley SPCA.
Approximately 200 at-risk shelter pets were airlifted from over-crowded animal shelters in Arizona and California to find loving homes at the Mega Adoption event hosted by the Brandywine Valley SPCA on June 17-18.
The Mega Adoption Event will be held at Bellevue State Park in Wilmington. More than 1000 adoptable animals will be looking for a forever family — big dogs, small dogs, puppies, kittens, and cats. All pets will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to go home the same day. Admission is free, and the adoption fee is $20. More info: www.megaadopt.com
Wings of Rescue is a 501c(3) charity that has flown to date 26,727 dogs and cats from high intake and/or high-kill shelters to no kill shelters and ultimately new homes.
