Man Shot In The Back In Wilmington

Wilmington – On 13 June 2017 at approximately 9:40 p.m., Uniform Services Division officer’s responded to the area of the 300 block of W. 29th Street in reference to a shots fired investigation. Arriving officers located a 24-year-old male victim in the 400 block of W. 29th Street.

The victim was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to his lower back and buttocks areas. The victim was treated on scene by New a Castle County Paramedics and transported to the Christiana Hospital in stable condition.

The circumstances surrounding this shooting incident remain under investigation and there is no suspect description available. Anyone who has information relative to this investigation is asked to call Detective Jordan Merced at 302-576-3637.
