Wilmington – On Sunday July 30, 2017, at approximately 11:49 pm, Wilmington Police Officer’s responded to the area of the 400 block of Townsend Street in regard to shot spotter notification of gunfire. Upon their arrival, officers located a victim, identified as a 25-year-old male in the 400 block of A Street suffering a gunshot wound to his back. The victim was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to the Christiana Hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Two Shootings In Same Neighborhood Send Two To Hospital
The circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation. The only suspect description available is one unknown black male, and possibly two additional males.
