Middletown – On Tuesday September 5, 2017 at approximately 9:30 am Middletown Police Officers responded to the M&T Bank located at 399 E. Main Street in reference to a bank robbery, according to Middletown Police Chief Michael Iglio.
Iglio said the suspect entered the bank, approached the teller, and demanded money. The suspect obtained approximately $1,640.00 and fled the business on foot. The suspect was later identified as Todd Miller, a 23-year-old white male of Middletown, according to Iglio.
On September 6, 2017 an arrest warrant was obtained for Miller in reference to Robbery 1st Degree and Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony. Shortly after, he was taken into custody in the 300 block of Hostetter Boulevard located in Middletown and was found to be in possession of 221 bags of suspected heroin, according to Iglio. As a result, Miller was subsequently charged with Possessing a Controlled Substance in a Tier 1 Quantity.
Miller was arraigned on the above listed charges, as well as additional outstanding warrants. He was issued a total of $44,500.00 secured bail and was committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Facility.
