County Police Charge Man With Multiple Burglaries

New Castle – Detectives from the New Castle County Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrested 33-year-old Everette Curry for multiple burglaries in Wellington Woods, Albertson Park, and Schoolside Apartments, according to M/Cpl. Michel Eckerd.

Eckerd said in December of 2017, patrol officers were dispatched to Schoolside Apartments for a burglary investigation. During the course of the investigation detectives from the New Castle County, Criminal Investigations Unit were able to establish 33-year-old Everette Curry as a suspect, according to Eckerd. Detectives then obtained a search warrant for Everette Curry’s residence. This resulted in the location of additional evidence further implicating Everette Curry in other reported burglaries, said Eckerd.

On Monday (January 22), Everette Curry was taken into custody by the New Castle County Police Special Investigations Squad and charged with: four counts of Felony Burglary 2nd , three counts of Felony Theft of a Firearm , two counts Felony Theft $1500 or greater, one count Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, two counts of Misdemeanor Criminal Mischief, one count of Misdemeanor Theft, and one count of Felony Unlawful Use of a Credit Card.

Everette Curry was arraigned and held in lieu of $54,200 secured bail.
