16-Year-Old Boy Shot In The Back, Rushed To Surgery

Wilmington – On Friday, 09 February 2018, at approximately 12:00 pm, Wilmington Police were summoned to the 200 block of W. 23rd Street with regard to a shooting.

Upon the officer’s arrival, they made contact with a 16-year-old male, who sustained a gunshot wound to his rear torso area. The male victim was treated on scene by New Castle County paramedics before he was transported to Christiana Hospital by ambulance. The victim was immediately taken into surgery and he is listed in critical condition.
