New Castle – Just after 9:30 the morning rescue crews from the Minquas and Minquadale fire companies, along withe DRBA Police Highway Patrol Officers responded to I-295 NB in the area of the Route 13 off-ramp for an injury accident.
Upon arrival officers found one vehicle that had impacted the Attenuator (Sand Barrels) and one patient with undetermined injuries. Crews quickly brought the scene under control. A front-end loader was brought in to clean up the sand and move the barrels back in place. Workers still in the area cleaning up. Use caution.
