Salisbury, Md. – On April 01, 2018, at approximately 1:30 p.m. Salisbury Police officers and detectives responded to the 1000 block of Aspen Drive to investigate a reported shooting, according to Captian Rich Kaiser .
Kaiser said the 30-year-old victim was found on a residential roof top with multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body.
Further investigation revealed that the victim was allegedly shot by her estranged husband, who has been identified as Jameal Rashawn Gould, 35, 6ft tall, 195 pounds, said Kaiser. It was learned that Mr. Gould came to the victim’s residence in the 1000 block of Aspen Drive in an effort to continue an argument which had apparently started earlier Sunday morning, according to Kaiser.
Officials said once at the victim’s residence, Mr. Gould forced his way inside, produced a gun, and began to search for the victim.
Mr. Gould located the victim hiding just outside of an upstairs window on the roof. He is alleged to have fired multiple shots, striking the victim, said Kaiser. Mr. Gould then fled the residence.
The victim was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center by Salisbury EMS where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries later that evening.
On April 1, 2018, an arrest warrant was obtained for Jameal Gould charging him with the murder.
Detectives from the Capitol Area Regional Task Force along with Detectives from the Salisbury Police Department are currently searching for Jameal Gould.
