Cecil County Home Destroyed By Two Alarm Blaze, Family Displaced

 

Cecil County – At approximately 3:30 yesterday afternoon firefighters from Port Deposit responded to Horse Lane in Conowingo for reports of a house fire.

Upon arrival, crews found a two-story wood frame single family dwelling on fire.

It took 30 firefighters an hour and a half to bring the two alarm blaze under control, according to officials.

The fire started outside the home as a result of discarded smoking material, officials said.

As a result of the fire five adults and three children were displaced and are being assisted by Red Cross. The dwelling and contents were a total loss.
