Rollover Crash In Newark Sends At Least Two To Hospital, Capitol Trail Shut Down

Newark – Just before 8:30 this evening rescue crews from the Mill Creek Fire Company, along with crews from the Minquas Fire Company and Delaware State Police responded to 2401 Capitol Trail for reports of a rollover crash.

Upon arrival crews found a small pickup truck rolled onto its side. In addition to the truck a white sedan sustained major damage to the  rear passenger side. A third vehicle was stopped at the scene but it’s unclear if that vehicle as involved in the accident.

At least two patients were transported via Mill creek ambulance with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The westbound lanes of Capitol Trail, in front of the Newark Farmers Market, were closed while crews worked to treat and transport the patients.

Lane restrictions remain as Delaware State Police investigate and clear the accident.

Developing.
