Crash Sends SUV Head-On Into A Tree In Hockession, Driver To Trauma

Hockessin – At approximately 11:00 this morning rescue crews from the Hockessin Fire Company, along with New Castle County Paramedics and Police responded to the intersection of Brackenville Road & Millcreek Road for reports of an injury accident.

Upon arrival, crews found two SUVs, one still in the intersection, the other off the road into a tree.

The first vehicle, a black Ford Expedition remained in the intersection with heavy damage to the rear. That vehicle also had its back windows blowout during the accident.

The second vehicle, a black Ford Excursion, was off the road into a tree. That vehicle sustained heavy damage to the front end after impacting the tree.

The female driver of the Excursion was transported via Hockessin Fire Company ambulance to the Christiana Hospital trauma center with serious injuries..

It’s believed the occupants of Expedition were evaluated but refused transport.
