Four Children, Three Adults Suffer Injuries During I-95 Crash

At approximately 10:20 this morning New Castle County Paramedics, Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder, Christiana, Goodwill, Mill Creek, and Wilmington Manor Fire Companies were dispatched to Interstate 95 Northbound in the area of Chapman Road Overpass for a motor vehicle crash involving multiple patients.

Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found a total of 7 patients involved in a 2 vehicle crash.

The first patient, 36-year-old female, suffered injuries to her leg and pelvis. The patient was transported via Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport.

The second patient, 8-year-old female, suffered injuries to her face and head. The patient was transported via Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

The third patient, 11-year-old female, suffered injuries to her back. The patient was transported via Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

The fourth patient, 13-year-old male, suffered injuries to his arm, leg and chest. The patient was transported via Goodwill Fire Company ambulance accompanied by emergency medical technicians (EMT’s). The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

The fifth patient, 42-year-old female, suffered injuries to her wrist and chest. The patient was transported via Goodwill Fire Company ambulance accompanied by emergency medical technicians (EMT’s). The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

The sixth patient, 39-year-old male, suffered injuries to his head. The patient was transported via Christiana Fire Company ambulance accompanied by emergency medical technicians (EMT’s). The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

The seventh patient, 3-year-old-male, suffered injuries to his leg. The patient was transported via Mill Creek Fire Company ambulance accompanied by emergency medical technicians (EMT’s). The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport.

All patients were transported to Christiana Hospital.

This is the additional accident we first told you about this morning during the tractor trailer narrowly missing State Troopers story. That accident partially shut down I-95 for almost two hours.
