New Castle County Police are investigating the shooting that occurred in the community of Rambleton Acres last night, June 13.
At approximately 8:04 p.m., New Castle County Police were dispatched to the intersection of Rambleton Drive and Rambo Terrace for a shooting that had just occurred, according to County Police Spokesman M/Cpl. Michel Eckerd.
Upon arrival, police learned that a 20-year-old male and 19-year-old female had both been shot.
Early reports indicate that the male was suffering from a wound to his lower back and the female was suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.
Responding crews from Christiana Fire/EMS, along with NCC Paramedics treated both patients at the scene before transporting them the trauma center, according to Christiana Fire Chief Richard Perllo.
As of last night, both patients were listed in stable condition, according to Eckerd.
Breaking Report
New Castle – Just after 8:00 this evening, members of the Christiana Fire Company, along with New Castle County Police and Paramedics responded to the unit block of Rambo Terrace for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, crews found two patients suffering from serious gun shot wounds.
Ambulance crews are en route to the hospital with a 19-year-old-male who is suffering from a wound to his lower back.
A separate ambulance crew is en route with an 18-year-old-female who is suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.
Both patients are being rushed to Christiana Hospital’s Traumas Center with a tramua code.
