At around 10:45 this morning firefighters from the Belvedere Fire Company responded to Route 141 NB just north of Boxwood Road for reports of a vehicle fire.
Upon arrival, crews found bales of hay on fire on the back of a landscaping truck. As crews worked to extinguish the fire, command requested assistance from Hockessin, Minques, the Delaware National Guard and others.
Route 141 NB and two lanes of Route 141 SB were shut down while crews worked to put the fire out and clear the scene.
Multiple fires companies, medical units, rehab units, and HAZMAT crews responded to the scene before the fire was brought under control around 1:00 this afternoon.
Delaware State Police, DelDOT and area Fire Police responded to the scene to coordinate the road closure.
