Wilmington – Just before 1:00 this afternoon, Thursday July 2016, 2018, First State Update started receiving reports of police activity in Biden Park near Elsmere.
As those reports were coming in, concerned neighbors began forwarding social media post asking us if we knew what was happening in the park.
We’re currently working to gather more information about the police activity in the park. At this point, New Castle County Police have not released any information regarding the activity.
One witness at the scene said that the New Castle County Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit was on scene. That has not been confirmed by police.
Biden Park is about a mile west of the location where authorities arrested Mark J. Consiglio back in March of 2017. Back then Consiglio was charged by State fire investigators with 3 counts of Manufacturing, Possession, and Use of an Explosive Device in connection to a domestic dispute. Read more…
