Milford – The Delaware State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a home invasion that occurred south of Milford early Friday morning, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Gary Fournier.
Fournier said that at around 3:34 a.m., Friday September 30, 2016 when a man entered the rear door of a residence located in the 10000 block of Rust Road. The suspect confronted a 62-year-old male and his 48-year-old wife armed with a handgun and threatened to do harm to them both, said Fournier.

Officials said that the husband and wife, along with a 28-year-old male who lives in the house, retreated to a master bedroom and locked the door. A 9-1-1 call was placed by the 62-year-old male victim and upon the troopers arrival, all the occupants of the home were safely evacuated.
A search of the house and property by troopers and Milford Police Officers were unsuccessful in locating the suspect. None of the victim’s were injured in the incident.
The suspect was described as black male, 20-30 year of age, 5’09” – 5’10” tall, 160-165 lbs. wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a red mask over his face. Armed with unknown type handgun.
A surveillance photo from a nearby store is attached of the suspect and a dark colored passenger car the suspect may be operating.
